Daniel Alvarez Veizaga is a contemporary composer whose aesthetic centers on the narrative dimension of music, shaping a compositional language that engages with diverse traditions and musical idioms. His work explores the boundaries between the past and the hybrid, creating new Andean sonic worlds.
He was awarded First Prize and the Audience Award at the Euregio Klassika International Composition Competition (2024, Italy). His work has also been recognized at the following competitions: the Bruno Maderna Composers Competition (2025, Ukraine); the Miquel Llobet Composition Competition (2025, Spain); the Artistes en Herbe International Composition Competition (2025, Luxembourg); the Carlos Guastavino International Composition Competition, organized by the SONUS International Music Festival (2023, United States); the 13th edition of the Premios Abaroa (2026, Bolivia); the 21st Adrián Patiño Municipal Composition Competition (2023, Bolivia); the 3rd World Teachers Association International Piano & Composition Competition (2022, Argentina); the 9th Municipal New Media Arts Competition (2021, Bolivia); and Ideas Creativas (2020, Bolivia), organized by the Fundación Cultural del Banco Nacional de Bolivia. He is a member of the Asociación Argentina de Compositores.
He studied at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany), the London College of Music (England), the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (Argentina), and the Conservatorio Plurinacional de Música (Bolivia). His principal composition teachers and mentors have included Dai Fujikura, Omar Rojas, Ana Paola Santillán, Georgina Derbez, Elena Larionow, and Miguel Rivera; and in piano, Kalle Randalu, Aldo Antognazzi, Grace Rodríguez, and Sarah Ismael.

Daniel Alvarez Veizaga es un compositor cuya estética se centra en la dimensión narrativa de la música, articulando una escritura que dialoga con distintas tradiciones y lenguajes. Su trabajo explora los límites entre el pasado y lo híbrido, construyendo nuevos mundos sonoros andinos.
Ganador del Primer Premio y del Premio del Público en el Euregio Klassika International Composition Competition (2024, Italia), también ha sido laureado en los siguientes certámenes: Bruno Maderna Composers Competition (2025, Ucrania); Miquel Llobet Composition Competition (2025, España); Artistes en Herbe International Composition Competition (2025, Luxemburgo); Carlos Guastavino International Composition Competition, organizado por el SONUS International Music Festival (2023, EE.
